My love for the fantastical and eccentric started when I spent my first night obsessively reading my favorite fantasy books under the sheets of my childhood bed, wanting nothing more than to be part of those worlds, and ever since then I carry a bit of fantasy in my pocket everywhere i go. This eventually led me to study illustrated & animated storytelling at AKV| st Joost.

My name is Eden. I’m a largely digital artist from the Netherlands, and I get inspiration for my work from anything that invokes nostalgia and fantasy! From folklore, to alternative fashion, to those creepy-looking clown dolls that always seem to be at thrift stores. Anything that makes that imagination bell ring! I make moody, eye-catching work that strives to pull the viewer into whatever whimsical world I’ve created.

My main interests are character design & visual development, but I never shy away from trying new things, and find myself enjoying almost every part of the creative production process!I especially love video games because of their capacity to draw people in and engage them with the world you create, but I enjoy animation & illustration projects as well. I thrive in a group of other creative individuals, working together to engage people in our world in such a way that makes them believe fairies still live in their garden, and that that creepy clown doll might not be so bad after all.
